About me
Mark Allen the Guitarist
My music career began as a teenage guitarist with the relatively successful Kent-based Rock band 'King Knut'.
As part of the four-piece band, I performed around the South-East of England in pubs, clubs, festivals and we featured on the 90s television show 'Young Gifted and Broke' (1999).

Following the demise of King Knut, two of the remaining members formed another band, 'A Phoenix De Novo' (2006-8), featuring Nick Moore Junior, the talented frontman and son of the successful blues musician Nicky Moore.

From 2008-2014 I performed live with electronic music events including 'Conquest' and the 'BN1 Show' in Kent and Brighton.

In 2025, I produced and released my debut solo single 'Firesky' featuring myself performing as a multi-instrumentalist.

Mark Allen the DJ
Despite being a musician at heart, I also have a passion for playing and sharing other people's music.
From 2010-2015 I DJ'd at events in Brighton and Kent.

Mark Allen the Producer
My music production career began in 2001, using a four-track tape machine to capture ideas.
However, due to the restrictions, I then built a home computer for digital music and became part of the electronic music production group 'The Co.LABoRATorS'

In 2006-08, I used the DAW Reason to make my first bedroom studio album, 'Never Beneath Infinity' under the alias 'Karm:A'.

In 2009...my Windows computer decided to erase all of my album work (tough lesson) and I joined the world of Apple technology and invested in Logic Pro 9.
At this stage, I began writing and producing with the talented Dan Smith, collectively we were named 'Freed'

In 2011 I relocated to Brighton to find new music connections in the city.
With two other producers we co-founded the 'BN1 Podcast', a show dedicated to sharing independent music in Brighton,
We showcased music of bands and producers, and were aired on 'Radio Reverb' ,also putting on lots of fun local music events in Brighton.

From 2018-2021, I attended BIMM Brighton and achieved a First-Class Degree in Music Production.

Through 2020-2021 I began to record and produce artists, the most successful being the Kent based artist 'Wez King'.
I produced his first six solo-artist releases following a recording session with his brilliant band Tres Kings.
These tracks were all featured in the XFM documentary 'Kick out the Jams'
